Extreme and relentless hagiography does tend to lead in this direction (I think with shame of the relic idiocy of Catholic medieval Europe), so it was interesting to hear the opinions of the Egyptian Mufti's critics regarding the authenticity of
hadith literature. One man's idea of coherence is clearly not another's.
