The Lives of Others also raised questions of voyeurism which I have mused on before (
in relation to Being John Malkovich). Watching
Rendition didn't help (though the superb review on imdb does) . In fact, I'm not sure that watching films is going to answer the moral questions raised by the activity of watching certain films. Perhaps I should become the kind of person with enough self-control and moral fibre to stop watching a film half-way through, even if I've paid for it. Have you ever done that? If so, what does that say about your pre-watching discernment!?
